Loss is hard.
Losing someone is never easy, no matter how small they are or how much life experience they have. Sometimes it is unexpected and you don't have any pictures to remember them as they should be, the pictures aren't the best quality, they're precious older photographs, or you simply don't have a photo of your whole family together.
That's where I come in.
It got personal.
After my own miscarriage in very early 2021, I felt this intense desire to use my pain to bring life to something I had always wanted to do but never felt as though I had the experience to justify. I have spent years developing my skills and experience, but these illustrations required me to hone in on a few of those skills and nurture them to where you see today.
An absolute honour.
When I receive an order for a Custom Memorial Print, I truly am honoured that you trust me with something so precious. Whether I am assisting you to have your grandparents in a picture with your children or help your family in their grieving process, it is an honour I do not take lightly.
How long does a Memorial portrait take?
The length of time it takes me to complete your drawing will depend on multiple factors. It's like asking how long a piece of string is.
As a guide, the memorial illustration pictured above (with the detailed angel wings) took me around 12 hours to complete.
This was referenced from multiple photographs of varying quality and size, and I've blended the drawings together into the beautiful image you see as the end result.
So, how does it work?
